My Interview Published – ‘Hack for Health in Vietnam – a Perspective from Nepal’
EpiHack Vietnam was a five days collaboration event held from 9 October to 13 September 2017 at Senera Resort Kim Boi, Hoa Binh province brought together technologists, epidemiologists and public health experts for intensive co-creation and prototyping of solutions to Population Participation in Disease Surveillance in Vietnam. The EpiHack fused elements of hacking (in legal software development terms), marathon-like intensive coding and development in a short period of time, with elements of a symposium on innovations in disease surveillance and epidemiology.
The objective of the event was to provide a space for health specialists and technologists to co-create digital prototypes. All prototypes developed during EpiHack were licensed under an Open Source License to promote their wide use and dissemination.
I participated in Epihack Vietnam as an international observer, representing my organization. Having organized more than 11 hackathons, this was my first time taking the role of a participant.
Here is my interview that was published in their blog site. The interview talk about my experience there.
